American Martyrs Catholic Church Science Center Due for Solar Install!

The American Martyrs Catholic Church has been an unmistakable landmark in Manhattan Beach since it was built in the 1950's. The building has continued to grow over the years as the congregation expanded. They've adde a parish center and conference rooms, additional school classrooms, a pre-school, a Gymnasium, and a new parking structure. The latest endeavor is a state of the art Science Center that will be powered entirely by a renewable energy system.

The amazing Monsignor John Barry, who is overseeing the planning of the project, made the decision to use Manhattan Beach's own Xero Solar to provide the commercial solar installation. Xero is a local leader in solar energy, offering some of the most competitive models and pricing in the South Bay.

For the project, they decided on a system that would produce a whooping 4.84 kwz of pv solar power for the Center. Xero opted for a setup involving SunPower 240 watt panels, in order to maximise Monsignor Barry's production due to the limited amount of roof space available on the new structure.
